One Step Closer to Ending Insurance Discrimination
On September 18, the U.S. Senate unanimously passed a bill which provides for equitable mental health insurance coverage.
This is a victory for millions of Americans living with mental illnesses who face unfair discrimination in co-payments, doctor's visits, and hospital stays.
The victory is not complete, however. The bill must now be approved by the House of Representatives before it can be signed into law by President Bush. Your voice can make this a reality, and NAMI is making it easy to make your voice heard. Send a message to Congress to end insurance discrimination against people with mental illness.
