NAMI Elects Marilyn Ricci of Connecticut as National Board President; New Board Members Are From California, Ohio

The Board of Directors of the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) has elected Marilyn Ricci of Connecticut as president of the national organization's board of directors.
Ricci is a consulting dietitian and president of Cornucopia Food Service in Collinsville, Conn. She previously served as president of NAMI Connecticut and was elected to the national board in 2011.
NAMI is the nation’s largest grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by mental illness. Election of board officers for 2015-2016 occurred at NAMI's recent national convention in San Francisco, July 6-9, following election of new board members by the organization's membership. Board members are elected for three-year terms and may serve two consecutive terms.

- 1st Vice President, Janet Edelman of Maryland
- 2nd Vice President, Ron Morton of Tennessee
- Secretary, Dana Fogelsong of Florida
- Treasurer, Gary Mihelish of Montana
Newly-elected board members are:
- Dorothy Hendrickson of California
- Steve Pitman of California
- Bob Spada of Ohio
Incumbent members elected to second terms at the convention are:
- Victoria Gonzales of New Hampshire
- Gloria Walker of Ohio
Incumbents whose first terms carry-over on the new board are:
- Lacey Berumen of Colorado
- Joyce Burland of Louisiana
- Jim Hayes of South Carolina
- Linda Jensen of Nebraska
- Adrienne Kennedy of Texas
- Mike Weaver of North Carolina
