Parents and Teachers as Allies: Partnering with Schools to Improve the Lives of Students Living with Mental Illnesses

Darcy Gruttadaro, Director, NAMI National's Child & Adolescent Action Center, provided a brief overview and update on the Parents & Teachers as Allies program (PTasA). Donna Pollard, Program Director and Parents & Teachers as Allies Trainer, NAMI Orange County, and Donna Wallis, Executive Director and Parents & Teachers as Allies Trainer, discussed their personal experiences and strategies while presenting the program to various school districts in California.
