Joyce Burland

Joyce Burland, Ph.D., is a member on the NAMI Board of Directors. Dr. Burland found NAMI in Vermont in 1989 for support and help in assisting a daughter and a sister with schizophrenia.

Dr. Burland hopes to help NAMI through a period of transition and re-visioning through her affiliation with NAMI.

Dr. Burland is the author of the NAMI Family-to-Family program. She is a recipient of the 2011 NAMI Distinguished Service Award.

She earned her B.A. at Vassar College and Ph.D. at Fielding University. She is a member of NAMI Santa Fe in New Mexico and NAMI New Orleans in Louisiana.
