Convention Highlights: Saturday June 28, 2003
 Opening DayThe NAMI 2003 Annual Convention officially began, with thousands of members arriving. Today in Minneapolis, NAMI state and affiliate leaders networked and shared strategies for building and maintaining successful NAMI affiliates.
The day's highlights included meetings of the Veterans Committee and Family to Family Institute, a NAMIWALKS seminar, a round table with the board of directors and special presentations on estate planning and scientific advances. Many attendees also took advantage of the convention shuttle to visit Minneapolis' famed Mall of the Americas.
