NAMI Dallas is a grassroots family and consumer self-help, support, education, and
advocacy organization dedicated to improving the lives of people with severe mental
illnesses and the lives of their families and other caregivers.  Such illnesses are
now known as serious and persistent neurobiological brain disorders.

NAMI Dallas is an affiliate of NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness). Founded in 1982,
we operate as a 501(c)(3) tax-deductible nonprofit organization in the Dallas metropolitan area. 

NAMI Dallas' membership includes consumers diagnosed with mental illness; their
family members, relatives, friends, and other caregivers; mental health professionals;
and all who share NAMI's vision and mission.
