NAMI PA, Main Line is a grassroots, nonprofit organization of persons with mental illness, their families and friends, dedicated to improving the quality of life of all those affected by mental illness through support, advocacy and education.

For the second year we will hold our annual picnic at the home of one of our Board members; this year Susan Weiss has offered to host the event. If you can, bring a folding chair or blanket and food to share—fruit, cheese, vegetables, salad, dessert. If you can’t bring something, that’s ok. Everyone must make reservations by 23 July. Call Patsy at 267.251.6240; if you plan to bring food please let her know.

Ardmore Presbyterian Church, 5 W. Montgomery Ave. (at Mill Creek Rd.), Ardmore. Use rear entrance to the office. Free parking is available across Montgomery Ave. in the Suburban Square parking lot.

Our discussion will focus on learning what you can do to preserve and improve your health and how to begin the process of change, including help with motivation and local resources. Online resources are available here. Light refreshments will be provided.

These crisis lines provide access to staff who are specifically trained for dealing with mental health crises and may provide better help and reduced risk of arrest. Someone is available 24/7 to assess the situation, arrange for an in-person evaluation, and/or make referrals as needed
