NAMI Metropolitan Houston is a non-profit organization established in 1988 to address the increasing need for families and persons affected by mental illness to have a powerful voice in the mental health community.

NAMI Metropolitan Houston covers a wide area, including all of Harris County, Bay Area, Baytown, Clear Lake, Houston, Humble, Katy, Kingwood, Sugar Land, Tomball, and Fort Bend County.

Our membership consists of persons with mental illness, the families and friends of people affected by mental illnesses, and mental health professionals.

NAMI Metropolitan Houston provides FREE education programs, peer support groups, and advocacy to enable families and consumers to become more effective self advocates.

We know what a struggle life can be when mental illness strikes.  We’ve been there!

If you or someone in your family has a mental illness, we have much in common.

Join with us in the community of hope we have found through NAMI Metropolitan Houston’s circle of support, education, and advocacy.
