There Is Help... There is Hope.

Who We Are

The National Alliance for the Mentally Ill (NAMI) for Livingston/McLean Counties is a self-help, nonprofit organization which serves the central Illinois region.

Purpose

Our purpose is to improve the quality of life for persons with mental illness and their families.

Our Membership

Our Membership consists of family members, friends, professionals, and individuals recovering from a mental illness.

Meetings  -

Members found that our monthly Thursday evening meeting were difficult for many of them to attend.

Continuing on Saturday December 12, 2009 at 10:00 a.m., we will have a support and get together time.  We will meet at Cosi's in Uptown Normal (on the corner of Beaufort and Linden).  Order your own coffee and/or breakfast at the front counter if you wish (not mandatory).  Parking available off of College Avenue.

Following meeting will occur on January 9, 2010.

For those living near Pontiac, please contact Robin at (309) 828-8469, if you would be interested in a support group in your area.

The fall Family to Family class is now complete.  This twelve week class is for family members of those with mental illness.  For a more detailed description, please check  the education page.  The next class will be held in Winter/Spring 2010.  Contact Glenn or Robin Rinker at (309) 828-8469.
