YOU ARE NOT ALONE!

If your life has been touched by mental illness, you are not alone.  Many people feel isolated by mental illness due to the stigma and misinformation surrounding it.

Mental illnesses are biological brain disorders and can disrupt a person’s thinking, feelings, mood, ability to relate to others and daily functioning.  Mental illnesses are treatable medical conditions.

One in five people is affected by a mental illness.   An isolating illness, mental illness affects persons of any age, race, religion or socioeconomic status.  When a person has a mental illness, the whole family is affected.

Thanks to research and medical advances in medications and treatment,
recovery is possible.

NAMI North Central Region covers Aitkin, Cass, Crow Wing, Morrison, Todd and Wadena Counties.
