NAMI Will County Welcomes You
NAMI
Will County is a not-for-profit organization that offers programs and services
primarily for those in Will County, Illinois, but we welcome anyone, regardless
of where they live or work. NAMI Will County is an affiliate of NAMI, the National
Alliance on Mental Illness.
Our
mission is to reduce the loneliness and isolation inherent in mental illness
through the empowerment and strengthening of individuals and families affected
by the disease with advocacy education and support.

Message from the President
I
personally want to welcome you to NAMI Will County, Illinois!
The
yellow iris flower represents a message of hope. NAMI Will County believes that
family members and their loved ones sure need that message when dealing with
the disease of mental illness.
It
has been some time since NAMI was a part of Will County to share the message of
hope. However, you are no longer alone in finding the education, support and
advocacy for yourself and your loved one.
As stated in the attached brochure, “AMI” is the French word for
“friend,” upon whose meaning created the National Alliance on Mental Illness.
We are your friends. We are your advocates. We are your teachers. We become
your family and support system. Through
the commitment and dedication of the Board of Directors and myself, we pledge
to help NAMI Will County grow in membership and services provided for many
years to come.
Laurie Perry
President,
NAMI Will County
