About Us

NAMI San Gabriel Valley 's History

NAMI San Gabriel Valley is a tax-exempt, non-profit organization and an affiliate of National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) and NAMI California.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley conducts meetings and provides community speakers discussing topics such as: schizophrenia research, new medications, state legislation, financial planning for families with a disabled member, early diagnosis and intervention, public and other community mental health services.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley organizes care and share support groups for family members and daytime activities for the mentally ill clients.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley publishes a monthly newsletter with the latest local, state and national news.

NAMI San Gabriel Valley shines a light on stigma attached to mental illness and works to educate the public, challenge negative stereotypes and confront discrimination.
