Support & Educational Meetings
NAMI Charleston Area offers monthly support groups for family members and friends of those who have a loved one who suffers from a mental illness and also for individuals recovering from a brain disorder/mental illness. All meetings are confidential.
First and Third Monday of the Month
MUSC IOP

Support: 4:00pm
Inpatient support group meets in Room 3N. The Institute of Psychiatry (IOP) is on the corner of President and Doughty Streets in downtown Charleston.
Second Monday of the Month
Elks Lodge

Support: 6:00pm - 7:15pm
Use the main entrance.
Education: 7:30pm - 8:30pm
Education meetings for consumers and family members are held together. The speakers discuss various issues related to mental health.
