NAMI Putnam

Mission Statement

NAMI Putnam is made up of families and friends of people with mental illness in Putnam. We are dedicated to the eradication of mental illnesses and to the improvement of the quality of life of all whose lives are affected by these diseases. We do this by changing public attitudes through encouraging a climate of respect and dignity for individuals with mental illness. We also provide mutual support by advocating for legislation and services to support our goals and by providing education to put a face of dignity, and recovery on an otherwise part of the population that deals with stigma.
