NAMI Greater Lowell was founded in 1986 and is one of a coalition of 38 chapters in Massachusetts.

  • The organization is comprised of the families, friends and individuals with mental illness.
  • We are a group of concerned individuals responding to the tragic neglect of our mentally ill citizens.
  • We are members of NAMI Massachusetts and the National Alliance on Mental Illness
  • We address local problems such as hospital closings, housing, available treatment and after care.
  • Our sharing and caring provides compassionate support and understanding for all our members and anyone else seeking support.
