Adult Protective Services (APS) investigates all allegations of abuse of a vulnerable adult.  A vulnerable adult is defined as an individual 18 years of age or older who due to a physical or mental impairment, are unable to protect themselves or to seek help from someone else.  APS can provide information and referrals for community services/resources to venerable adults, their family, and caregivers.  APS can also assist with placement in an assisted living facility as recommended by their health care provider.
