The author of the first comprehensive history of Danvers State Hospital ever

published, Michael Ramseur will show his short film VORTEX and will also

present and sign his two history books,

HAUNTED PALACE: Danvers Asylum as Art and History

and THE EYE OF DANVERS, The DANVERS PASTELS

Michael Ramseur, artist, author, historian, and past psychiatric social worker, will present a talk:

“Through the Lens of Danvers: the U.S. Mental Health Movement.”

Ramseur has spent twenty years documenting the beauty and drama of DSH in

pastel art. A portion of this prodigious body of work will be exhibited.

Talks are free and held the second Wednesday
