Carole Wills - NAMI Indianapolis

After finding NAMI Indianapolis in 1999, Carole became an active NAMI member, teaching the NAMI Family-to-Family coursemultiple times, serving on the NAMI Indianapolis Board and serving in various other volunteer positions. From 2000 until 2010, Wills founded and chaired the interfaith education outreach to faith communities known as Faith Communities Education Project (FaithCEP) and later re-named NAMI FaithNet. She served as Board President of NAMI Indianapolis from 2006-2009.

Carole is founder of WellSpring Mental Health Ministries and current Chair of the NAMI FaithNet Advisory Group. She serves as mental health ministry resource consultant for Alban Institute’s Congregational Resource Guide where more than one hundred books and DVD’s are reviewed for small group, individual and congregation use.

In addition to mental health education and advocacy, Carole is a professional organist and a member of the Indianapolis Chapter of the American Guild of Organists (AGO). She holds Bachelor of Music Education and Master of Arts in Religion degrees. From 1968 to the present she has taught elementary music, directed children’s choirs, a chamber orchestra, a handbell choir and held positions as organist and minister of music.
