EDUCATION PROGRAMS DESCRIPTIONS

FAMILY EDUCATION  

Family-to-Family

NAMI's signature family education program,
provides detailed information about the biology of the brain and
family coping skills through a twelve-week course that is offered
at no cost to participants. The curriculum is taught by trained
volunteer family members and focuses on the clinical treatment
of the major mental illnesses and teaches the knowledge
and skills that family members need to cope more effectively.

These programs are free and open to the public, but registration is necessary.

Starting Wednesday evenings in September.  Classes are held in Lakewood.

This education program is for parents and caregivers of
a child or adolescent living with mental illness.
 They are taught
by trained volunteer family members, and offer information on
mental illness, diagnosis, treatment, coping skills, navigating
the systems, such as public assistance, medical and educational.

10 Week course for those seeking wellness. NAMI Signature Education Course,
presented by trained "mentors" or peer teachers.

 PROYECTO V.I.D.A. 

For Latina women who suffer from Anxiety or Depression.
Suffer from Trauma or Abuse.

We invite you to participate in a confidential Spanish Speaking support group.
***Light refreshments and childcare (if needed) will be provided.  FREE PARKING
when you say you are coming to the ADAMHS Board.
