NAMI Sonoma County Committees

Our committees include Board Members,  representatives from our organization and the community members working together to improve the lives of those with mental health challenges.  The committees are:

The Fundraising/Fund Development Committee is chaired by Debbie Lindberg. This committee oversees the implementation of the Fundraising Plan, as outlined in our Strategic Plan. It seeks to identify potential donors and solicits funds from external sources of support.   The Fund Development Committee coordinates assignments for a particular event, such as: Heroes in the Fight dinner/silent auction, movie events, the Annual Appeal and the Human Race. If you are social, like people and going to events, there are some great opportunities here! The Fundraising/Fund Development meets the second Tuesday of every month at 4 PM, here at the NAMI office. Meetings are usually about ninety minutes.

The Community Relations Committee represents the organization to the community, and enhances the organization's image, including communications with the press. Dave House is the Chair of this committee. The committee meets the first Tuesday of every month, at 4 PM, here at the NAMI Office. The Community Relations Committee guides the development of NAMI Sonoma County advocacy policies, procedures and protocols.  The committee also promotes advocacy throughout the county and provides information to the membership and general public regarding important mental health issues and policies. The information is disseminated through meetings, our website and our print materials, including our newsletter.

Special Programs-Kristine Siebert, chair; Marlene Mahan, co-chair. Includes our Holiday Gift Program and Tools for Transition into Independent Living.
