National Alliance for Mental Illness-Chesapeake

Volunteer Community Service:  Adult Volunteering (18 and over): Our adult volunteers are the backbone of our organization. All of our fundraising events require the help of volunteers, sometimes hundreds of them! Adult volunteers have many choices in how they would like to help out NAMI Chesapeake, including: clerical, Outreach and Education, and Fundraising and Special Events. … the list goes on and on. Maybe you have your own idea about how you’d like to help. Meetings (Orientation) are held monthly, and are posted on http://www.namichesapeake.org/.

Court Ordered Community Service: We accept court-ordered community service volunteers on a limited basis. We cannot accommodate all requests, so if you wish to fulfill your service hours here, you must let us know well in advance. Restrictions do apply.  The program will aid in reducing the commitment of nonviolent offenders to local jail facilities.

NAMI CHESAPEAKE IS NON-PROFIT, 501(c)(3) CHARITABLE ORGANIZATION.
