The NAMI South Dakota Consumer Council serves as an advisory group to the NAMI South Dakota Board of Directors. Consumers are an important part of the "Voice on Mental Illness" in South Dakota. Being part of the NAMI SD Consumer Council gives you the opportunity to be part of a nationwide group dedicated to improving the lives of people affected by mental illness.

The President of the Consumer Council is a member of the board of directors.

Rhonda Palm from New Effington, 605-652-4611;  namisdcc@yahoo.com   is the current President.

The SD Division of Mental Health sponsors a consumer conference call each month. The calls are held on the first FridayThere will be NAMI SD Consumer Council Conference Calls on the following dates in 2009: February 6, March 6.  Calls are held on the first Friday each month.

 All calls begin at 2:00 p.m. Central Time. To participate in the calls,  call Tina Manning at 800-265-9684 at least 2 days prior to each call. At that time you will be asked to give her a phone number where you can be reached at the time of the call. Calls last 1 hour.
