SUPPORT NAMI HOWARD COUNTY

NAMI  Howard  Countyis a grassroots nonprofit organization which depends on membership dues, grants and your generous contributions to fund our important work.

With your support we can continue to deliver programs, educate our community and advocate for initiatives at all levels of government. Your donation will help us to —

• Partner with the Howard County Mental Health Authority, Grassroots  Crisis  Intervention  Center, and the Howard County Police Department to begin training Howard  Countypolice officers in the Crisis Intervention Team model
• Deliver Sharing Hope, a new educational outreach presentation specific to African-American faith communities

• Provide mental illness awareness education to  educators and  high school students in the Howard County Public School System
• Present In Our Own Voice: Living With Mental Illness at a variety of venues including:  churches,  psychiatric rehabilitation facilities,  and the Grassroots  Crisis  Intervention  Center
• Teach our signature education programs (Family-to-Family, Peer-to-Peer and NAMI Basics) to the public for free
• Coordinate the Sunday Suppers program, providing a hot meal and social opportunity for adults who live with chronic mental illness
