Mental Health App Focus Group and Info Meeting
Tuesday, November 4th, 7-9pm

ImageYoung adults, ages 18 and older, are invited to participate in a focus group and info session on a new mental health mobile app.  The group, hosted by NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, will gather feedback from participants on the use of the app.  Focus group participants will receive dinner and a $5 Starbucks gift card. Dr.  Anne Ruble and Dr. Vinay Parekh will present an informational meeting on the App and Mood Disorders following the focus group.

Dr. Ruble and Dr. Parekh are on the faculty at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences and can be contacted at moods@jhu.edu.  Dr. Ruble is the principal investigator for the study. JHU: IRB005132

Register to attend. 
20 individuals may participate in the focus group.  The informational meeting, following the group, is open to the public.


November's Monthly Information Meeting: Tourette Syndrome
Wednesday, November 19, 2014, 7-9pm

Tourette Syndrom is part of a spectrum of neurodevelopmental disorders that affects as many as 1 in 5 children. Some cases of the disorder may persist into adulthood.  Learn more about this disorder at NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore's November informational meeting, presented by Dr. Matt Specht.

Dr. Specht is co-director of the Pediatric OCD and Tourette's Disorder Speciality Clinic and an Associate Professor of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry at the Johns Hopkins University.
