IF THESE CHILDREN ONLY KNEW
IF THESE CHILDREN ONLY KNEW THAT OUR LOCAL, STATE, AND NATIONAL GOVERNMENT HAVE A HISTORY OF UNDER FUNDING MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAMS, IF THESE CHILDREN ONLY KNEW THAT THERE IS MORE OF PUBLIC OUTCRY FOR MISTREATMENT OF ANIMALS THAN THE MISTREATMENT OF THE MENTALLY ILL LIKE DENYING THEM WATER FOR 13 DAYS (JAMES MONROE MIMS IN THE DALLAS COUNTY JAIL NEARLY DIED IN APRIL, 2004, AFTER JAILERS CUT OFF HIS DRINKING WATER FOR AT LEAST 13 DAYS AND DENIED HIM HIS PSYCHIATRIC MEDICATIONS FOR TWO MONTHS, AN INTERNAL INVESTIGATION BY THE SHERIFF'S DEPARTMENT FOUND) IF THESE CHILDREN ONLY KNEW ONE IN FIVE CHILDREN HAVE A DIAGNOSABLE MENTAL, EMOTIONAL OR BEHAVIORAL DISORDER. AND UP TO ONE IN 10 MAY SUFFER FROM A SERIOUS EMOTIONAL DISTURBANCE. IF THESE CHILDREN ONLY KNEW THAT VERY FEW PEOPLE IN ELLIS COUNTY ARE TRYING TO HELP THOSE WITH MENTAL ILLNESS.
The models in this picture are from left to right-Abby Thornton, Anna Thornton, and Ferrin Thornton. We wish to thank them for their volunteering spirit to pose for these picture for NAMI of Ellis County
