Connection Recovery Support Group Program

Impact of Mental Illness on the Individual - Helpful Links - Vermont Vet-to-Vet

NAMI VERMONT:

Individuals living with a mental illness are invited to join and participate in NAMI Vermont activities. Our Board of Directors is made up of family members and peers and we are strongly committed to increasing peer participation the future.

NAMI Vermont offers NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups. These support groups provide a place to share experiences, and use them as learning opportunities. NAMI Connection Recovery support groups are a safe space to confront the challenges that most individuals living with a mental illness face regardless of diagnosis: low self-esteem; social isolation; dual diagnosis; stigma and discrimination. Groups are now meeting weekly (some bimonthly)in six locations around Vermont. Click

about the NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups in Vermont.

NAMI Vermont also has an active Consumer Council dedicated to providing input and insight to the NAMI Vermont Board of Directors. If you would like to get involved with the Consumer Council please contact the NAMI Vermont office at (800) 639-6480 or e-mail us at info@namivt.org.
