Monthly Education Meeting : We will meet at St John's Methodist Church, which is very close to our NAMI office. These meetings are held on the second Tuesday of the month at 6:OO PM. St John's Methodist Church is located at 2626 Arizona NE, Albuquerque NM (see map ). There is plenty of parking on the east side of Saint John's.
October 14, Dr. Lewis - The use of modern technology in treating serious mental illness.
Dr Lewis will review new therapeutic uses for everyday technologies like smart phones and personal computers. The discussion will expand to include approved and experimental devices that utilize magnetic fields and other kinds of brain stimulation to treat serious mental illness.
New Mexico Mental Health Hotline - Statewide - Hotline: 1-855-NMCRISIS or (1-855-662-7474). The crisis line is staffed by mental health professionals 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

NAMI ABQ and the UNM Center for Rural and Community Behavioral Health Brought to New Mexico via video-teleconference technology, a special educational program with Elyn Saks. The video-teleconference was recorded but the link to the archive containing the video is not functioning. As a result, we have located a link to a website that has Elyn Saks presenting a talk on schizophrenia to an international conference on schizophrenia.
