Smarts for Advocacy Teacher Training - October 25-26, 2014

Want to make a positive impact on mental health care?  Smarts for Advocacy teachers, together with their local affiliate leaders, work with NAMI members to enhance their advocacy skills and to powerfully share their stories.  The teacher training will be offered on October 25-26 at the NAMI Maryland office in Columbia, MD.  Call our office for more information - 410-435-2600.

Young Adults are Invited to Participate in a Mental Health App Focus Group - Nov 4th.

Young adults, ages 18 and older, are invited to participate in a focus group and info session on a new mental health mobile app.  The group, hosted by NAMI Metropolitan Baltimore, will gather feedback from participants on the use of the app.  Focus group participants will receive dinner and a $5 Starbucks gift card. Dr.  Anne Ruble, principal investigator for the study, and Dr. Vinay Parekh will present an informational meeting on the App and Mood Disorders following the focus group. JHU: IRB0005132
