Our next Kenosha NAMI support groups will be on Thursday, May 9th and Thursday, 23rd, at Paul's Lutheran Church on the corner of 88th St and 39th Ave.  We will have 3 support groups at 6:00.  One support group is for people that are coping with a mental illness, a second support group is for the family members and friends of those coping with a mental illness and our third support group is for people under the age of 18. After the support groups on May 23rd, there will be a general membership meeting at 7:30. At the meeting we will hear reports from people that attended the annual NAMI Wisconsin Conference the weekend of April 26 & 27th.

On Wednesday, May 15th, the annual Mental Health Awareness Vigil will be held in Civic Park across from the post office in downtown Kenosha. Several speakers will give presentations and annual mental health awards will be made. The event begins at Bridges Community Center at 5:00 and will continue at the park around 6:00.

The NAMI Greater Milwaukee Walk will be held on Saturday, May 18th. If anyone is interested in participating or would like to sponsor a walker, please call the NAMI number above for more information.
