Welcome to NAMI North Inland San Diego County affiliate's web site.  Our goal is to provide support, education and resources for families affected by mental illness.  In collaboration with the community, we advocate for a life of quality and dignity, one without discrimination, for all those persons affect by mental illness.

We believe that:

• Mental illness is a neurobiological disorder requiring and responding to comprehensive treatment.
• People with mental illness have the right to access and participate in the latest and finest medicines and treatments available.
• People with mental illness have a right to be treated with dignity and respect.
• Collaboration of all those in the mental health community enhances the capacity to produce powerful results.
• People with mental illness and their families have a right to live without stigma, discrimination and scheme.
• Education of families and the community is essential for understanding the complexities of mental illness.
• Scientific research is vital to the understanding of severe mental illness
