There are three important ways that you can help us:

  1. Membership.  We encourage you to become a member of our affiliate.  Your membership is important whether or not you can attend meetings or be an active member.  Our effectiveness in advocating on behalf of people with mental illness depends in part on how many official dues-paying members we have. For more information click on the "Membership" tab on the home page of this site.
  2. Donations.  We are very grateful to those who are able to donate above the membership level.  Such donations go directly toward enhancing the services we offer.  Your tax-deductible donation can be mailed to NAMI PA, Main Line, 320 Woodley Road, Merion Station PA 19066-1413.  If you would like to make a donation in honor of or in memory of someone, we will send a letter to the honoree or family of the deceased.

If you prefer to make a donation through your workplace United Way, our donor code is 214. If you prefer to give an online donation, you can donate to any of the members of our Main Line Movers NAMI Walk team.  If you would like to donate a used vehicle, please click on the icon at the bottom of the page.
  3. Volunteering.  We have many ways in which you can volunteer to help our affiliate.  We invite you to join one of our committees (Advocacy Committee, Education and Support Committee, General Outreach Committee, School Outreach Committee, Social Committee).

We are also seeking volunteers who can take on responsibility for a project such as updating a section of our resource guide, organizing food for a party or refreshments for an outreach event, organizing an outreach event at a school or church, organizing an advocacy visit to a legislator.  We will provide information, support and funds for any necessary expenses, but we would particularly like to find volunteers who have initiative, follow-through, and the ability to work relatively independently.

Additional volunteer opportunities include helping to teach our Family-to-Family Program, helping us to track the success of our Facebook and other electronic outreach activities, or leading a physical activity group for people with mental illness and their families.

If you are interested in volunteering, please click the "Contact Us" tab on the home page of this site.
