There are three important ways that you can help us:

  1. Membership.  We encourage you to become a member of our affiliate.  Your membership is important whether or not you can attend meetings or be an active member.  Our effectiveness in advocating on behalf of people with mental illness depends in part on how many official dues-paying members we have. For more information click on the "Membership" tab on the home page of this site.
  2. Donations.  We are very grateful to those who are able to donate above the membership level.  Such donations go directly toward enhancing the services we offer.  Your tax-deductible donation can be mailed to NAMI PA, Main Line, 320 Woodley Road, Merion Station PA 19066-1413.
  3. Volunteering.  We have many ways in which you can volunteer your services. If you are interested in any of the following services click the "Contact Us" tab on the home page of this site.

Advocacy.  NAMI, including our affiliate, plays a major role in advocating for policies and public services to benefits individuals with mental illness and their families.  We provide information for volunteers to advocate on current issues at the state and/or national level.

Family-to-Family Program.  We are looking for additional volunteers to help teach our Family-to-Family Program, typically offered in the Spring and Fall.  NAMI's Family-to-Family training is required for teaching.

Publicity.  We would like to hear from you if you have experience in publicity so that we can better inform the public about our upcoming speaker meetings and other events.

Mental Health Resource Guide.  We need help in keeping our Resource Guide up-to-date.  This is accomplished by phone calls to and/or Internet checking the resources, confirming information and gathering additional information.

Website.  Please let us know if you have HTML skills to help us improve our website.

Administrative support.  We also need help from time to time with administrative tasks such as photocopying and stuffing envelopes.
