In Our Own Voice: Living with Mental Illness

In Our Own Voice is a recovery-education program in which people living with mental illness are trained to speak directly to community audiences about their experiences with mental illnesses, treatment and recovery.

The presentation includes a short video and personal testimony about the consumer's Dark Days, Acceptance, Treatment, Coping Strategies, and Successes, Hopes and Dreams. The audience is involved with a question-answer period after the presentation.

This 50-60 minute program is ideal for consumers, family members, health providers, civic groups, law enforcement and faith communities. The only equipment need is a DVD player and TV.

Interested groups may request an In Our Own Voice presentation at no cost to them by contacting Jana Tronier at(701)541-1755 or janatronier@msn.com
