January Wednesday Meetings

Wednesday meetings are at Mather Hospital Rooms Two and Three

All are welcome. Hope to see you there!

Please note there is NO January 1st Meeting due to the holiday and that our meeting rooms have been changed

Starting 2014, our Educational/Informational meetings and peer support group will be in Room TWO. The general support group will be in Room THREE. Please check website for updates. Also, sometimes Mather needs to change the rooms at the last moment so please check at the front desk in the hospital. We apologize for any inconvenience and we remain grateful to Mather for providing the free space to us.

January 1st: NO Informational/Educational Program HAPPY NEW YEAR!

January 8th Peer Support Group @ 6:30 PM for individuals living with mental illness

January 15th General Support Group @ 7:30 PM for all who are affected by mental illness- individuals, family members, significant others and friends.

NEW! January 6th and 20th ( the 1st and 3rd Monday of every month) NAMI Connection Support Group 6:30-8 pm at Pollack Gardens SRO in West Sayville- For Concern Housing residents only. This is a peer facilitated support group.

Central Suffolk's East End Support Group location in Watermill at the Grace Church. Call affiliate Facilitator Gail 283-2380 for info.

Donations: With the support of our members and donators, NAMI of Central Suffolk has been able to serve the Suffolk County Community throughout the years and continue to offer FREE programs: monthly educational speaker series programs for family members and individuals living with mental illness, support groups, program training, helpline, community outreach, advocacy, and our frequent news communications. NAMI Signature Program Training: Must be a member of NAMI of Central Suffolk to be sponsored by us to train and communicate regularly with our affiliate. Come, be part of our team and enjoy a truly rewarding experience! We need volunteers to be trained to teach Family to Family ( will be ONE more training on Long Island this FEBRUARY), Support group facilitators for general support groups, and for NAMI Connection, In Our Own Voice, BASICS, and Peer to Peer. NAMI of Central Suffolk congratulates affiliate members Anthony Trozzo and Sandy Peterson as NAMI Connection Support Group Facilitators! We are now offering two additional Connection Support Group meetings a month for Concern Housing residents at the Pollack Gardens location in West Sayville. These are for Concern residents only. The meetings will be held on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month at 6:30 -8 pm!
