Here are some of our favorite links for consumers, families and providers.  If you have any additional sites that you would like to have added, just post a suggestion in the Discussion Forum (top menu) and we will investigate the site as soon as possible.

CONSUMERS:

We highly reccommend our state and national NAMI sites for additional information:  www.namifl.org and www.nami.org   In addition, here are some NAMI consumer favorites:

  • about.com has extensive information about psychiatric disorders from both professional and consumer perspectives.   The format allows consumers to find specific diagnoses, get on mailing lists, and search extensive archives on specific diagnoses and general topics of interest.

  • revolutionhealth.com has partnered with NAMI National to provide a consumer-centered site about physical health and well-being.  You can create a personal home health page and it's free!
  • wikipedia.com is a free encyclopedia that anyone can edit. As an open source document, it is continually updated.  Thousands of readers correct any inaccuracies--a very interesting resource for MH consumers!
