Dr. Ron Rosen will speak on:
MENTAL AND BEHAVIORAL HEALTH TREATMENT: YESTERDAY, TODAY AND TOMORROW – DISOLVING THE MIND - BRAIN BARRIER
My personal and mission statement after completion of a 2 year Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Fellowship.
As a Board certified Pediatric Specialist and Board certified Pediatric Subspecialist for greater than 30 years, providing integrated comprehensive diagnostic, treatment, coordinated continuity of care, monitoring patient outcomes, treatment sequelae and patient/family education counseling. These objectives and subjective experiences have involved addressing mutlifactorial and multivariant problems.
New and existing services, appropriate clinical trials and biologic studies were a necessity to the growth of Pediatric Hematology/Oncology. Such services are more than justified with the approximated 7,400 Child Psychiatrists and 70,000 Pediatricians to care for the 14,000,000 to 20,000,000 children with significant psychiatric illnesses in the United States. I intend to pursue ongoing collaborations to afford innovative services to help meet child healthcare needs. I have focused my educational reading, literature reviews and pursuits on updated pertinent psychiatry, genetics and neuroscience endeavors.
During the 3 years prior to my PGY-2 Residency in Las Vegas, Nevada my focus was on the psychiatric manifestations of medical diseases where frequent misdiagnoses involving children and adolescence were identified relatively early in their courses of illness, which often led to long commitments to inappropriate treatments and inaccurate prognoses. A misdiagnosis in a child or adolescent results in failure to initiate appropriate treatment at a critical state of life. My passion has always been to address these problems as an advocate for children and providing healthcare on the highest level with trust and compassion."
