FAMILY-TO-FAMILY COURSE

New course starts on Tuesdays in September, 2012
LOCATION: TBA for Largo or Pinellas Park
12-session course taught by trained NAMI family members.

Family-to-Family is a free 12-session course for family and friends of individuals with serious mental illness.  It covers signs and symptoms of many disorders; problem-solving, communication and empathy workshops; medication review; information on rehabilitation, fighting stigma and advocacy.  It is taught by trained NAMI family members.  Attendees must attend all 12 classes.

PEER TO PEER CLASSES

New class starts Fall 2012
Free 10-week course taught by trained consumers.
Pre-registration required. Call Consumer Council at 727-600-5838

This course teaches about major psychiatric disorders, how psychiatrists make their diagnoses, ways to avoid a relapse and gives insight into how our illness has changed our lives.
