FAMILY-TO-FAMILY COURSE

New community course starts Fall of 2014. LOCATION: TBA

Family-to-Family is a free 12-session course for family and friends of individuals with serious mental illness.  It covers signs and symptoms of many disorders; problem-solving, communication and empathy workshops; medication review; information on rehabilitation, fighting stigma and advocacy.  It is taught by trained NAMI family members.  Attendees must attend all 12 classes.

PEER TO PEER CLASSES

New class starts Fall of 2014
Free 10-week course taught by trained consumers.
Pre-registration required. Call Stacy for more information and to be placed on class list at 727-826-0807.

This course teaches about major psychiatric disorders, how psychiatrists make their diagnoses, ways to avoid a relapse and gives insight into how our illness has changed our lives. FAMILY SUPPORT GROUP: THIRD THURSDAY OF EACH MONTH AT 7:00 PM

At our Family Support Group meetings we share our experiences. You will recognize the similarities, and appreciate hearing how others have dealt with their challenges.

NAMI CONNECTION every Monday beginning at 6:30 p.m.

NAMI Connection a self help group for individuals dealing with mental health issues and recovery experiences. For information, contact the NAMI Help Line at
