Why YOU should join NAMI-CC:

NAMI-CC is a nonprofit, grassroots, self-help, education, support and advocacy organization of consumers of MH services, families, professionals and friends of persons with serious and persistent neurobiological disorders. Also known as brain disorders, they include: bipolar disorder, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, anxiety disorders, schizophrenia and schizoaffective disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

NAMI-CC Support Group Provides:

A place to confront fears

A place for validation

A place for friendship and networking

A place to exchange information about mental illnesses

Self-help and family support for persons with mental illnesses and their families

Education classes (Family-to-Family and Visions for Tomorrow)

Information to communities regarding mental illness, available services and services needed (From Discovery to Recovery Seminars and “In Our Own Voice” speaker program)

Advocacy for, encouragement and acceptance of persons with mental illness living in the community (housing, emergency needs, “In a Different Light” theater troupe, “In Our Own Voice” speaker’s program)

Newsletters (local affiliate bi-monthly, NAMI-Oregon and NAMI National quarterly)

Support meetings held monthly at Oregon City Pioneer Community Center, 615 5th. Street, Oregon City, Oregon. 

Summer schedule-April through September: First Tuesday evenings, 6:00-9:00 - includes dinner ($3)

Winter schedule-October through March: Second Saturday mornings, 9:00 - 11:30 - includes breakfast ($3)
 

Directions to Oregon City Pioneer Community Center

From I205 take Exit 9 (Oregon City- Gladstone)

Turn left onto McLoughlin Blvd(99E) and go 0.5 miles until you reach 10th. Street.

Turn left onto 10th. Street and go 0.3 miles up the hill. At the McLoughlin Historic District sigh, the road curves left and becomes 7th. Street.

Turn right onto Washington Street and go 2 blocks to 5th. Street. The Pioneer Community Center is on your left. The front entrance is at 615  5th. Street.

Parking is available in the Community Center lot on Washington Street or in the lot across from the Community Center on John Adams Street.
