EDUCATION COORDINATOR

One or two people needed to coordinate classes, teachers, and publicity for upcoming classes. Work with president on organizing various classes. Estimated time about 2-3 hours whenever a class is taught.

Teachers first go through the class they will be teaching as a student. Then will take a expenses paid weekend training session to learn how to teach the class. You must be a dues paying NAMI member and willing to teach two classes after successfully completing the training. This is our area of most pressing need for volunteers. This allows us to reach out and provide help and support to those with mental illness and their families Contact Robin at (309)828-8469 or by email at res0at5b@verizon.net (the 0 is the number, not a letter) or Steve and Dori at (309)452-2459 or by email at doriwest@comcast.net.

If you have something not listed you would like to volunteer for, please let us know!
