Please join us on Saturday, May 18^th, 2013 as NAMI members, relatives, friends, neighbors and co-workers gather at the NAMIWALKS for the Mind of America mental health awareness event.   This year more than ever, NAMI needs your help and support to continue to provide quality programs of support, education and advocacy for individuals and families affected by mental illness, and raise awareness about mental illness.

DATE:  Saturday, May 18, 2013 

Check In:  10 a.m. Start Time 11:00 a.m.

LOCATION: Inner Harbor, Baltimore

Monies raised will be used to fund NAMI's programs in Maryland.  NAMI Howard County will receive 55% of funds raised by walkers who designate Howard County in the Designate NAMI Affiliate section when registering. There is no walker registration fee.  The distance of the walk is approximately 1.5 miles.

ORGANIZE YOUR OWN TEAM!

 Honor someone you love by creating a team of family and friends.  Ask colleagues at work or members of your community to walk with you to eliminate the stigma surrounding mental illness.  We can provide fact sheets, brochures, or fliers.  Ask us for a Famous People with Mental Illness poster.
