NAMI Southwest Missouri has been selected as a host agency for the PROCOVERY^TM  Program in southwest Missouri.  Mickie McDowell has been hired to be the Procovery Forum Faciltator and will be based at NAMI Southwest Missouri.

What is Procovery?

It is based on The Power of Procovery by Kathleen Crowley.  Procovery Circles ^TM are about seeing and building the potential in ourselves and about building each other up and helping each other grow.  They are about:

• Hope
• Support
• Approaching things in a positive manner
• Problem-solving
• Learning other people’s views and cultures in a safe and confidential environment.

Procovery is offered at the NAMI Hope Center in two circles:

1. A 14 week Procovery course that offers a new vision of self-help and personal empowerment where personal experience, culture, and strengths are embraced and where hope and skills for healing go hand in hand.  This course is for persons with serious or chronic mental and physical diagnoses. 
   
   There is no cost to participate in the NAMI Procovery Education program, but registration is required.   A new class starts approximately every 16 weeks.  See Calendar for next class date or call the Hope Center for additional information.    Contact:  Mickie McDowell    417-864-7119 or email mickie@procovery.com.
   
2. This Procovery Circle ^TM  is for persons who’ve completed the 14 week Procovery Class.
