NAMI CONVERSATION WITH PSYCHIATRIST

Dr.  Robert Dolgoff in conversation with NAMI EastBay President

(This video presentation, shown on July 27, 2011, is available for viewing on

http://www.vimeo.com/25930344)

Dr. Robert Dolgoff is the Medical Director of Alta Bates Sutter Medical Center Mental Health Services (aka Herrick Psychiatric Department).  He has been in this position for some time and is a highly respected and experienced psychiatrist in the local mental health community.  As part of an ongoing educational video series produced at Herrick, the opportunity recently arose for Liz Rebensdorf, President of NAMI EastBay, to sit down with Dr. Dolgoff and talk about mental illness.  What resulted is an informative  and generally comprehensive Mental Illness 101 overview  - with the addition of Liz's questions posed to Dr. Dolgoff on behalf of family concerns raised in support groups, phone calls and Family to Family classes.

Thanks to Cynthia Kane-Hyman, producer, and Barry Swank, cinematographer, for putting this together at Herrick.
