Family to Family Classes  Three will be starting  in January, 2013.   Two in English and one in Spanish

Free, 12 week course for families partners and friends of individuals with serious mental illness. Dwells on the emotional responses families have to the trauma of metnal illness

BASICS Class will be starting in February 2013

Basics is a free, six week course for parents and other primary caregivers of children and adolescents living with mental illness.

It is taught by parents or other primary caregivers who have lived similar experiences with their own children. NAMI Basics is

an educational program that provides learning and practical insite for families

Peer to Peer will be starting in February 2013

Free, 10 week course for people with a serious mental illness. Emphasizes recovery from mental illness as feasible, supportable goal and chanllenges the stigma often wrongly associated with mental illness.

Connection   on-going  meets twice a week all year

Free, weekly 90 minute recovery support group for people living with mental illness where people learn from one another's experiences, share coming strategies and offer mutual encouragement and understanding. The group provides an ongoing opportunity to discuss the challenges of living with mental illness and the techniques for maintaining wellness.

Connection groups meet:

Every Monday 4:00-5:30pm at Rebels, 3400 N. 29th Ave., Hollywood, FL 33020 

Every Tuesday 3:00-4:30 pm at The Mental Health Association, 7145 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, FL 33313 

Family Support Group    on-going choice of 7 sessions each month  (5 in English and 2 in Spanish)

Free two hour meeting of caregivers of individuals with mental illness where family members can talk frankly about their challenges and help one another through their learned wisdom.

Our  Seven Family Support Groups meet:

1st and 3rd Wednesday 7:00pm at Silver Impact, 7155 W. Oakland Park Blvd., Lauderhill, FL 33313

3rd Saturday 10:00am at Geo Care/SFSH, 800 E. Cypress Drive, Pembroke Pines, FL 33025

2nd and 4th Tuesday, 7:30 at Broward Health Imperial Point Medical Center, in the Medical Staff Library, Main entrance, 6401 N. Federal Highway, Fort Lauderdale, FL 33308 

2nd and 4th Tuesday, 6:00, at Rebels Drop-In Center, in Memorial Hospital, 3400 N 29 Ave, Hollywood.  This Support Group will be held in Spanish and will start January 15, 2013

    There is no charge to attend any of these support groups and reservations are not required.
