NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore has several programs and services available to families affected by mental illness and the general community. A few of the programs we provide are:

 

Peer Education and Support

Family to Family Education Course

Peer to Peer Recovery Education Course

Consumer Recovery Support Groups

Support Groups for Relatives

Helpline 

Our local help-line is available 40 hours a week.  Staff and volunteers respond to over 4,000 calls a year. NAMI-Metropolitan Baltimore provides customized resource packets to anyone seeking information. Callers are also added to our mailing list for 6 months. For more information about local mental health services call our warmline at 410-435-2600.

Community Outreach and Public Education

NAMI offers workshops to the general public and for professionals who work with persons affected by mental illness. We effectively use our personal experience to sensitize the community and to change practices and systems. Please click on any of the workshops listed to receive more information:
