CHURCH COMMUNITIES OFFERED HELP-Recognizing that many families first seek help with difficult family situations through their home churches and/or pastors, NAMI-CC is seeking to let county church leaders know about the help and hope that NAMI can offer. A mailing was sent in June to all churches in Clackamas County with a listing of our available support resources and classes. Upon request form churches, NAMI board members have volunteered to become the official liaison at their home churches. Duties of the liaisons include providing information flyers and brochures about NAMI functions and being an available phone contact for members of their congregations who may want further information about NAMI. Please contact the NAMI office 503-723-4989 to become a liaison for your church. It is through personal connections that we are able to bring the help and hope that NAMI offers to others in our community who have not heard of this resource. Don’t be shy about letting others know of the support you have form NAMI.
