You Are Not Alone, We Are Families Helping Families!

NAMI Indiana Mission Statement:

NAMI Indiana is dedicated to improving the quality of life for those persons who are affected by mental illness.

Who We Are! NAMI Indiana is a non-profit grassroots organization dedicated to improving the lives of people afflicted by serious and persistent mental illness. NAMI Indiana consists of families, consumers, and professionals. We are dedicated to helping families through a network of support, education, advocacy, and promotion of research. NAMI Indiana is affiliated with the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), which is located in Arlington, Virginia. Since receiving its charter from NAMI in 1985, NAMI Indiana has rapidly grown to include twenty-five local affiliates across the state, involving more than 1500 member households. One of NAMI Indiana's fundamental goals is to help establish a system of care that provides community based services for persons with serious mental illness, as well as support for them and their families.
