Family and NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups
NAMI Boise support groups provide support, knowledge and understanding along with an opportunity for group members to share experiences in a confidential setting. Ongoing support groups are currently held in Boise and Nampa.
NAMI Connections (Consumer Support Groups): NAMI Connection groups are peer-run groups for persons recovering from a mental illness. They are an alliance composed of individuals who have in common the experience of living with a serious and persistent mental illness. Consumers share experiences and use them as learning opportunities for themselves and others. The goal is to support and further their goals of recovery from a mental illness.
NAMI Connection groups are held:
Tuesdays: 1:00-2:30 p.m. at the Veterans Administration Medical Center, Building 114, Group Room 2. 550 West Fort Street, Boise, ID
Every 1st and 3rd Wednesday: 4:30-6:00 p.m. at Safe Haven Mental Wellness Clinic. 8050 Northview, Boise, ID
Tuesdays: 6:30 - 8:00 p.m. at First United Methodist Church of Nampa. 2717 12th Ave Rd., Nampa, ID
Family Support Group: Trained facilitators who are family members of persons with mental illness head our family support groups. These support groups are for family members, friends, and loved ones of those with a mental illness. Support groups offer opportunities to share feelings and concerns, network about resources and information, share problem-solving strategies, and give and receive mutual support. Group members have comfort in knowing they are not alone when mental illness strikes their family.
Family Support Groups are held:
