Support Groups for Consumers:

NAMI Connection Recovery Support Groups

NAMI Broward has formed two Connection groups.

NAMI Connection is a weekly recovery support group for people living with mental illness in which people learn from each others’ experiences, share coping strategies, and offer each other encouragement and understanding.

The program includes NAMI-trained peer facilitators and employs principles of support designed to empower its members. This program focuses on allowing all participants to share their experiences and learn from each other in a safe and confidential environment.

NAMI Connection is not illness-specific, and welcomes persons with all psychiatric diagnoses

The group meets twice a week . (You can attend as many as you want)

  1.  Rebels, 3400 N. 29th Ave., Hollywood, FL 33020 on Mondays at 4:00-5:30pm

  2.  The Mental Health Association, 7145 W. Oakland Park Blvd. Lauderhill, FL on Tuesdays at 3:00-4:30pm

For information contact Katie at (954) 739-1888.

There is no cost to attend any of these support groups.
