NAMI DC offers various services to assist DC residents affected by mental illness:

weekly support groups for people with mental illness

Family-to-Family education and support courses for family members of people with mental illness

multidimensional information and referrals for people who need to find a doctor or therapist, who have a grievance, who need housing services, and more...

provider education to help mental health professionals better serve their client

Library of books, videos, audio tapes and publications on recovery and illness (office is open 10-2 Monday - Friday)

If you are a family new to the illness or just seeking support call us. If you are a person in distress or in recovery from mental illness, we understand. People do recover; come by and see us.
